What is TDEE & BMR? Why is it important?

Whilst both tell you the number of calories your body needs, BMR and TDEE are different.

BMR stands for Basal Metabolic Rate. It is the basic number of calories your body needs to function. It’s the energy your body needs to keep your vital organs, your heart, brain, blood circulation working as they should and your body temperature regulated.

TDEE stands for Total Daily Energy Expenditure. TDEE is the number of calories you burn while going about your daily activities, this includes exercise.
